The Center of a Square

Today read about a “square poem”.  I loved it and tried it myself
Made me think about my theology. I felt like playing Sudoku with Jesus!
Here it goes … (it doesn’t quite rhyme … will work on that)
You can read it line by line. The columns repeat the lines.

In             the       beginning   Jesus    created-     with      God.
The    surrendered  faith           is         what       Christ   holds.

Beginning faith      draws         the       grace       inside    all.
Jesus           is           the           Center    within      all      Creation!
Created-  what       grace
within    draws    hearts  together.
With       Christ     inside,          all           hearts     draw      in.
God          holds        all          Creation   together   in        Jesus.

Revelation 22:13
I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the first and the last,

the beginning and the end.

  2. Hey Heidi, I enjoy the challenge of Sudoku once in a while but this is so much sweeter! Thank you for the new year reminder to keep Jesus at the Center of all we think, say or do. Totally awesome! ❤️

    1. Thanks, Kathie, for coming by and encouraging my heart. I do enjoy puzzles every so often. Last night, after the kids were in bed, I sat down and thought of what the Holy Spirit means to me and came up with another box poem (prose). I think you might like it 🙂

  3. I had the same reaction as Debbie upon reading your poem: Wow–what a challenging format! But our Heidi of Great Poetry Prowess nailed it! Especially love the way “Jesus is the Center–within all creation.”

    1. “Poetry Prowess“ 🤓 Thank you… you made me smile 🤗… Jesus is worth of our thoughts and contemplation!
I appreciate you stopping in and thinking with me about Him!

  4. Wow Heidi! I loved this and what patience you had to work it out! Yay Jesus! It is fun to work on projects that have us thinking about Him all the more! :). Blessings and love as you keep Jesus as your center!

    1. Thank you, Debbie 🙂 It is fun to keep thinking about Jesus, isn’t it. Blessing to you as well, sister! Yes, lets keep Jesus in the Center!
