Recently, I was sitting by the lake waiting for the sun to rise.
While I sat there in my car, several squirrels were playing in a nearby tree. 
“God, help us to seek You in our waiting.
Help our hearts delight in You.
Thank you for making Your mercies new each morning.”

I’ve been contemplating that line from Lamentations, too: “Your mercies are new every morning.” Never will his love cease, his power wane, his grace be depleted, etc. Our eternal God has an eternal store of everything we need for every day. Praise God! We can wait with expectant hope in a God like that! Thank you, Heidi, for always inspiring hope with your words.
