Our Hope

Recently, I was sitting by the lake waiting for the sun to rise.
While I sat there in my car, several squirrels were playing in a nearby tree. march 31st sunrise 005

“God, help us to seek You in our waiting.
Help our hearts delight in You.
Thank you for making Your mercies new each morning.”

About Heidi Viars

“If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth ...” ― C.S. Lewis ..... In my pursuit of self, I found utter darkness. In my pursuit of truth, I found Jesus, who dispelled the darkness by His forgiveness. Now I follow Him and try to understand Him better. I am a wife, mother of 6, blogger and love taking photographs of sunrises.

Thank you for these photos and that verse from Psalm 62! Just perfect for me! God bless!

  3. Beautifully peaceful Heidi. May His stillness fragrance your day.

I’ve been contemplating that line from Lamentations, too: “Your mercies are new every morning.” Never will his love cease, his power wane, his grace be depleted, etc. Our eternal God has an eternal store of everything we need for every day. Praise God! We can wait with expectant hope in a God like that! Thank you, Heidi, for always inspiring hope with your words.

  5. Beautiful, Heidi. Your photos are very nice, also.

Beautiful pictures that speak a thousand words! May we get into sync with God’s rhythms and not our own busy wanderings. Blessings.
