Going Home
After two weeks and one day Corey will be released TODAY!!!! He could not be more excited. He still has one chest tube, which has a valve attached to it now. His right lung is still healing and still leaks a little air. There are more check-ups scheduled.
God has been with us, every step of the way. His Word tells us that He never leaves nor forsakes us. His promises stand. His Word is true. We can trust all that He tells us. His heart is kind toward His children. He sustains in the middle of dark nights, and reveals himself in the early morning sunrises with new hope. He ordains ours days and knows them before they come to a close.
Lessons seem to lurk everywhere. I asked Corey what he has learned from all of this. He told me that the Church is much more than a building. Church is God’s people taking care of God’s children and in that show His love. …
(He also said he learned to pay attention while riding a bike.)
Thank you so much for your prayers!!!
With much much love,
The Viars Family
Heidi, I’m so happy for your family. How scary it must have been for you all. I love your son’s attitude.

Praise the Lord for prayers heard and answered! Great reminder for us all that the church is not a building but a people. May we all be the church Jesus would have us be. Enjoy your homecoming celebration and know we are celebrating with you!

I have gained a deep appreciation for His Church. His Spirit is still in it and it’s still His Body, though many of us have been hurt by people. Church is so much more than one congregation and the place we go to on Sunday. I believe if we want to see revival, we must recognize that the Church belongs to Christ and is His Bride. Our family has gotten a glimpse of it, as many different churches and denominations prayed. We were overwhelmed by it. What a day it will be when all of God’s people, everywhere, are united in heaven and worship Him there. Thank you for your encouragement and your prayers. They mean much to me!!!!

So thankful for your prayers, dearest Debbie! God is indeed working. He is so good, not because He has spared our Son, but because He cannot be anything else. No matter the circumstances, no matter what happens, we know that truly ALL THINGS work our for good as we love Him. He is our Only Hope, our Anchor, and (as a good friend says) True North. Love you, Debbie … thanks for caring!

So what a strange coincidence….Although we know there are no coincidences. I know a woman from my small town, who has a son name Corey who was in a bad biking accident (Motorcycle) a few weeks ago. When I caught your write up on my reader, I thought maybe some one I know from here had written a blog about Corey, as the circumstances are so similar. So, I clicked on it and realized it was not. As I read I was just in awe of the parallel stories. I don’t know why God showed me this. But, I private messaged her on Facebook and added this blog. I believe God is telling her something. I am not sure what,.But, also maybe showing you how amazing He is and how your experience and writing about it is going to bring comfort to some one you don’t even know!!! Praise God!
