Awareness

Awareness …

of the sound of the ice breaking and snow crunching beneath my feet …

Awareness …

of my heartbeat drumming in unison with the pace of my walk …

Awareness …

of my breath, visible only for a short second …

snow, February 15th, 2013, Green Lake, Paths 004

Awareness …

of the sunbeam breaking through the clouds …

light having traveled 92 million miles to reach my eye

Awareness …

of the rising sun …

and me spinning a thousand miles an hour on a planet in space

Awareness …

only possible when standing still

Be Still

Awareness …

of the Transcendent

Awareness  …

of the Imminent

He does not change. He is here with me.

“Creator God, Father, Abba, how can it be that You loved me so much that You gave Your Son for me? I am in awe! I have nothing to give to you, the Creator of the Universe, yet You ask me to reason with You. In kindness and love toward me You created the earth and invite me to see the marvels set before me.  Thank you. Let me give You my life.
Do with it as You please.”

About Heidi Viars

“If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth ...” ― C.S. Lewis ..... In my pursuit of self, I found utter darkness. In my pursuit of truth, I found Jesus, who dispelled the darkness by His forgiveness. Now I follow Him and try to understand Him better. I am a wife, mother of 6, blogger and love taking photographs of sunrises.

  1. Beautiful post, Heidi! Even in being able to tell the Father, ‘Do with it as You please,’ I need His power.

Thanks Wendy! John 15:5 … “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” It’s the “nothing” part of the verse I don’t always remember 🙂 Blessings to you!
