Out of Grace

new year's day 011

When God’s Son took on flesh,

He truly and bodily took on,

out of pure grace,

our being, our nature, ourselves.

I read Bonhoeffer’s “The Cost of Discipleship” many years ago. I thought it was good then, and I still think it is worth reading today. Also recommended: “Ethics”, “Life Together”, and “Letters and Papers from Prison”.
