Morning Proverbs

(After my Bible reading today in Proverbs, I sensed a nudge to try to write my own. My soul quickly found a deep joy as I contemplated Truth in my day to day. You should try it.)

Heidi, I’ve missed your photos and words. I still love the cards you made. The poem is wonderful… my favorite stanza is this-
    “A closed laptop,
    a phone on its face,
and voices in my head on silent –
a way for the Almighty to speak,
an opportunity for the HOLY to enter.”

    So true! blessings, friend.

Thank you, for reaching out! Your words are an encouragement (as they have always been). I am trying to find my words again after a difficult season and appreciate your prayers, my dear poet-friend

I will absolutely pray. I do think that the Lord stores up the words in us. That He will bring forth, in His timing. Eventually, it will well up to overflow and onto print. It’s what He has done for me. I am so thankful that we have a Savior who understands our struggles! Blessings Heidi. You are not forgotten.

These are wonderful, Heidi! Perhaps my favorite (It’s difficult to choose!) is the one about dispelling the gloom with ponderings of God’s goodness. I’ve experienced the same many times! ‘Love this idea of writing personal proverbs. I’ve put a Post-It reminder in my journal to try it!

Lovely, Heidi. But for the (very relevant) references to coffee and social media, King David would be nodding his head in agreement.

Precious, just precious. Thank you for sharing your gift.

When my soul ponders the goodness of God,
    when it recalls His faithfulness,
joy arises and dispels my gloom.

When prayers spring up from my soul
When unexpected thoughts lift my spirit
When I close my eyes and see
    The I AM is near.
