Desired Havens
Stay close to Him and by His side.
Stay near the Word of God.
Stay next to Christ – in Him abide.
Stay with Him in the flood.
~
Hold out your hand to Him alone.
Hold fast and stay the course.
Hold on when cold winds whip and blow
Hold tight when waters rise.
~
Come, trust the Lord and follow Him.
Come, know that He will lead.
Come, seek His holy, sovereign will.
Come! He’ll guide you through rough seas.
~
“Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
He made the storm be still,
and the waves of the sea were hushed.
Then they were glad that the waters were quiet,
and he brought them to their desired haven.”
(Psalm 107:28-30)

Beautiful images. I especially appreciate the line, “Hold out your hand to Him alone.” It is my ultimate desire although I sometimes reach for lesser things.
