Blue-Feathered Thoughts

Published by

Like the weathered branches
Of the old pine
My thoughts sway
Heavy. They bend and stray –
Obedient to an unstable atmosphere,
To chaos, to storm

A blue-feathered thought
Flits in, takes a rests.
Up and down he rides
On the branch of the pine.
Provisions are plenty
Down here, where winds are the norm.

He calls me through squeaky gates.
Invites me to gaze at his nest
Blue-feathered thoughts become blue dotted promises –
In the weathered branches
Of the old pine.

Ah yes–the promises of God DO smooth out those ruffled, blue-feathered thoughts! What lovely imagery, Heidi, for those times when our thoughts bend and stay in the storm!

    Sweet! 🙂

Heidi, it’s good to “see” you again. Have you been taking a break from blogging, or has my email been sending good stuff to the spam folder again? ):-(

thanks for checking, friend … well, there are times in life when you have to live the stories you will write about later … that’s kinda like what it’s been for me. I really have not been writing much. I miss it terribly… hopefully I will get back to a good rhythm. Thanks again for checking in. I am so grateful for this beautiful community – including you!

Thanks, Heidi. ❤ I’ve been (allegedly) taking a “break” this year, but when I’m excited too about something to keep it to myself, I think of my followers and share it with them. So, I’m not posting every week anymore. It’s more like every two weeks.
