A Bright Future

crocus april, 2015 005

My future as bright as Your promise to me,
That hope in my heart is secure as can be.
That my feet walk with peace and steadfast resolve,
That Your plans for me stand – those no one can thwart.

My future as bright as Your promise to me,
That You never forsake; that You never leave;
That You I can trust though the troubles will come.
That You will be with me and I’m not alone.

My future as bright as Your promise to me,
That You overcome death, and make blind people see,
That You conquered the grave and still do today;
And that Christ is the Life and the Truth and the Way.

2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God find their Yes in him.
That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

  3. The first stanza reminded me of Psalm 18:36, “You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn.” Hope broadens our path and strengthens our ankles!
