It takes but a moment for strangers turn friends,
For smiles turn cold hearts kind.
Compassionate moments have power to mend,
Turn a soul from being blind.
Moments pass by and chances wear thin
To seek and live for God now.
Make every effort to look out from within,
To make fleeting moments count.
For the riches of life in tomorrows won’t be-
They’re here, right before your eyes.
Open your soul. With your heart start to see,
Seizing moments means being alive.

“Lord, open my soul and heart to see how You work all around me.
Help me to be disciplined to seek Your ways.
Teach my wandering heart to stick close to Your ways,
and especially Your Word.
Help me to be an encouragement to those around me.
Help me to point them to You and Your heart for them,
in what I speak and in the way I act.
Jesus, I love You.
Thank You, for being my Lord and Savior.
You alone did it the right way,
I can’t be perfect in these things.
You died for my imperfections and for the deep sin that exists in my heart.
Help me today, to look to You.
You have loved me with an everlasting love
and compassion that is beyond my comprehension.”

But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said:
“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,
making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
