City on the Hill

I have been praying for revival, for several years.
My prayer is for the Universal Church, Jesus’ Body, to see what she is able to do,
were she to believe all that He told her.

We might have to ask us this question, which is put so poignantly put by Casting Crowns,

“One by one, will we run away … “

 Now there are varieties of gifts,
but the same Spirit;

and there are varieties of service,
but the same Lord;

and there are varieties of activities,
but it is the same God
who empowers them all in everyone.

    With you, I pray, Heidi. May God open the windows of heaven and pour out his power! May we be willing participants in the work He wants to do.

    Amen!! It has been my observation that so much emphasis has been put on the local church that the universal church has been dismissed or marginalized. Wherever the local church is made superior to the universal church, most of those congregations feel superior to others and not as part of the body of Christ. Each church is not the body; all Christians everywhere make up the body of Christ. Love your photo!!!

      Thank you, Rene, for your comment. I wholeheartedly agree with “Wherever the local church is made superior to the universal church, most of those congregations feel superior to others and not as part of the body of Christ.”
      Let’s pray we allow God to lead us through the Holy Spirit, rather than rely on our own understanding!
      Thanks for the comment on the photo. Coming from you, it means much 🙂
      Blessings, dear friend!
