City on the Hill

I have been praying for revival, for several years.
My prayer is for the Universal Church, Jesus’ Body, to see what she is able to do,
were she to believe all that He told her.

We might have to ask us this question, which is put so poignantly put by Casting Crowns,

“One by one, will we run away … “

 Now there are varieties of gifts,
but the same Spirit; 
and there are varieties of service,
but the same Lord; 
and there are varieties of activities,
but it is the same God
who empowers them all in everyone.
1 Corinthians 12:4-6 (ESV)

    Amen!! It has been my observation that so much emphasis has been put on the local church that the universal church has been dismissed or marginalized. Wherever the local church is made superior to the universal church, most of those congregations feel superior to others and not as part of the body of Christ. Each church is not the body; all Christians everywhere make up the body of Christ. Love your photo!!!

      Let’s pray we allow God to lead us through the Holy Spirit, rather than rely on our own understanding!
