HE IS ABLE
I found these amazing droplets of ice at the edge of the lake. They had formed at the end of some weeds which were dangling in the water. The gentle waves, ever so slowly, brushed against them and formed perfect little pellets. The right circumstances, temperatures, and weather made it possible for them to form.
God can use any and all circumstances to shape us more and more into His image. Our surrender to Him and our trust in His ability to hold on to us while He is at work, will in time prove to bring Him much glory. Waves of cold and dire circumstances may seem random and out of control, but with God nothing is incidental. Nothing in this universe is out of His jurisdiction. He holds it all together, for His own glory and our good.
Hold on to us, our gracious Lord,
While waves and wind shape deep within,
Our hands hold tight, here in this cold
Make holy as You cover sin.
For that which shapes the heart of man
Oft is not found in sunny days
But testifies when cold men stand –
Despite their pain to God sing praise.
~
For this reason I also suffer these things,
but I am not ashamed;
for I know whom I have believed
and I am convinced
that He is able to guard
what I have entrusted to Him
until that day.
2 Timothy 1:12 – NASB

Really sumthin’, these pictures! And I love how you can see right through to the bottom of the icy water too. Neat-o! Beautiful writing, Heidi!

This is just awesome Heidi. I wrote a poem long ago called Soul Sculpture with the same theme. This is such a basic spiritual understanding and the sooner you learn it the better. Thanx for your wisdom Heidi, it is such a blessing! Jacquie Whyte

What was so amazing was that when the gentle waves hit these ice droplets, they turned dark. Once the wave receded, they turned bright again, reflecting the sun. Pretty neat. Blessings to you as well, Patti

Even though sometimes our hearts and lives are buffeted by the coldness of affliction and/or grief, ’tis within the confines of our guarded moments that God’s everlasting love is embraced. Happy New Year dear friend xxx
