Tears are vast as an ocean is deep
come from children, and mothers, from the hungry, the weak.
Tears are abundantly flowing each day.
They pour from our hearts … drain our souls as we pray.

In repentance we shed them, in anger, in pain,
in sorrow of death, flow from hurt and from blame.
Our God sees each tear seeping out of our soul.
He knows the source. He is seeking to mold.

He’s using our tears to set us apart
While He softens the soil of our dry desperate heart.
He’s making us holy, a people who know
that He’s holding us close to His heart as tears flow.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:4
