Come On In

Open the door of my heart.
Let yourself in!
*
Don’t mind me, while I am getting this place cleaned up a little.
Don’t mind my clutter.
I am working on throwing some of it out.
*
Lord, I am sorry for making such a mess of this place.
Are you sure you want to live here?
*
I have been collecting many of these things for years.
They seemed so valuable.
But now, they weigh me down.
I kept this stuff, thinking it was of worth.
Now that you are here, I feel silly for thinking these things were treasures.
*
Did you say you want to help?
But what about…? … You know…?…
That place way in the back of my closet?
You don’t want to go there, do you?
*
You have already seen it?
OK! It’s all yours!
Every room, every corner, every hidden place.
I give you my whole heart.
Thanks for coming in and cleaning up!
Thank you for your promise to stay until it is finished.

Philippians 1:6
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
