Calling for a Get-Together

I just scratched off the last appointment on my calendar.

Now what?

How about we get together here and pray?

IN THE COMMENT SECTION

  1. Tell us your favorite go-to verse … and/or
    2. Tell us how we can pray for you specifically. Be as specific or as vague as you like … and/or
    3. Write out your prayers … short or long.

I appreciate this beautiful community of believers so much and know that many will be praying for you and your concerns.

  1. One of my go to passagages is in
2Peter 1:3-10″ His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowlegde of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge self controll; and to self controll, perserverance; and to perserverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities increase in measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is blind and nearsighted, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fail and will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
I truely understand what nearsighted is and have an extreamly strong perscription to keep me seeing. This passage helps me to remember that i need to have my “Jesus eyes” on. In order to do that i need to make every effort to follow this passage! I dont wat to be unproductive and ineffective. Its easy for me to give in and take off my “Jesus eye glasses” and start worrying and fretting. So this is my prayer, to be productive and effective in building the Kingdom of God.

    1. “Lord, please continue to give us the vision for Christ. Help us to see that all things hold together in Him. Help my dear friend Wendy, to keep her prescription adjusted to see you in all things. Help her to not let the world (nor her own flesh) tell her how to see things, but always be reminded that she has been given everything she needs for life and Godliness. Keep her mind steadfast on You. Keep her heart in tuned to Yours. Keep her hands busy doing Kingdom work. Give her (and continually increase) faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and most of all LOVE. In Jesus Name. Amen!”

Love you, my sweet Friend! ❤️

  2. What a great idea,
What can we pray for you for Heidi?

    1. Thank you for asking, Crissy.

The blogpost The Sword ( https://heidiviars.com/2020/03/09/the-sword ) was born out of God turning me down three times for certain work in ministry. It was painful at the moment, but when I asked Him why I wasn’t allowed to fight on the “frontlines” the picture of the blacksmith came to mind. Please pray for me to be disciplined to let Him forge the sword of the Word and Biblical prayer into my heart. I am a Bible teacher at our church so please pray that we diligently come up with ways to hand swords to new believers. Let’s pray for the Church to be strengthened through this.

      1) Luke 18:1-8 … and especially verse 8, “I tell you, He will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”
      2) John 9:4 “We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.”

We have four of our six kids home now. Also, my husband has been working from home since January first.

      Blessings my friend …
Please tell me how I can pray for you and wield that sword for you. Feel free to email hviars@charter.net

      1. Heidi, I will keep your request in my prayers daily.
        🙏

My prayer request is the same as the Apostle Paul:
“and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,”
        ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭ESV‬‬

        Blessings ♥️

  3. My daughter and I have been having a great trip together so far to go get my son (her brother) from college. Prayers for continued safety for the rest of our journey there and back (including our hotel stays) that we won’t get sick. It’s been a blessed day of answered prayer today! Praise God!

    1. “Lord, you know and see all paths we take. You go with us, never leaving us nor forsaking us. Please, Lord, form a bond between Ruth and her daughter that would not easily break. Bring their entire family together, so that in even more difficult times they would be able to stand against the current of confusion. Help them to see the people they can encourage. Open their eyes to the opportunity to witness to your great Hope and Love. And, Lord, keep them well for their calling here on earth. In Jesus Name!”

  4. “Lord, You have told us not to worry. It’s difficult thought not get grabbed up in the panic and the concerns the world is displaying. PLEASE show us how we can be an encouragement to our brothers and sisters and to those who are being swept away by this flood of concerns. Calm our anxious hearts and help us to be one… like you are One. In Jesus’ Name
