Everything

When I don’t have a song,

You are the JOY OF MY HEART.

*

When people forsake me.

You are the LOVE OF MY LIFE.

*

When my troubles overtake me,

You are the PEACE OF MY SOUL.

*

When I am thirsty,

You are the LIVING WATER.

*

When I am hungry,

You are my BREAD OF LIFE.

*

When I sail through rough waters,

You are the CALM OF MY STORM.

*

When the nights seem endless,

You are the LIGHT IN MY DARK.

*

When my earthly father is gone,

You are ABBA, MY DAD.

*

When dreary days are here,

You are the SONG THAT I SING.

*

When I lack direction in my life,

You are the MASTER WHO LEADS.

*

When I hurt deeply,

You are the HEALER OF MY PAIN.

*

When fear overtakes me,

You are the SHELTER I SEEK.

*

When my vigor turns to weakness,

You are the STRENGTH OF MY HEART.

*

When the enemy is relentless,

You are the SWORD IN MY FIGHT.

*

When despair is all around me,

You are the HOPE IN MY WORLD.

*

When I am exposed and ashamed,

You are MY HIDING PLACE.

*

When I am alone,

You are MY REDEEMER AND FRIEND.

*

When I can’t find my way,

You are THE GATE AND THE DOOR.

*

You are Everything to me, Jesus.

About Heidi Viars

“If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth ...” ― C.S. Lewis ..... In my pursuit of self, I found utter darkness. In my pursuit of truth, I found Jesus, who dispelled the darkness by His forgiveness. Now I follow Him and try to understand Him better. I am a wife, mother of 6, blogger and love taking photographs of sunrises.
