About

On what brings me here and finding God …

People have said to me, “you need to write about that!”
So I do. “That” began over ten years ago, when I took photos from my early morning walks, downloaded them onto the computer and poured the words (often poetry) which stirred in my soul over the keyboard. I still do this, but have found God does not limit His revelation to early morning walks. Yes, He is found in the solace, but also in His people. So, I write about that.
But where I see God the most is in Jesus Christ. To know Him better, I read the Bible. So I write about that, too.

My vision …

My deepest desire is for you to see Jesus, who is perfect. I am not. My story might appall you, make you wonder why I would dare to write about God. But I can’t help it. He has, and continually is, changing me. He is at work – EVERYWHERE. In you, too. If you don’t know Him, I pray that you might see Him here in the letters, sentences, paragraphs and imperfect offerings. He made you in His image. My hope is that my words provide a place of rest for your soul, have you take a couple of deep breaths before you head back to your world.

“Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”

— Paul, 2 Corinthians 3:4

A few things about me

I am mom of six and been married to Scott for 35 years. I shamelessly admit, I made the better deal. I was born in Germany and lived there for the first 19 years of my life (and still struggle with finding the right prepositions!) I love to walk, spent time in my fruit garden, hike, and teach Ruby (our mini dachshund) new tricks. I figure if all else fails, we can always go to the circus.
