Come walk with me into the night.
Come to the fields with me.
No man-made glitz, no city lights
Taint tired eyes to see.

Some say that all this grandeur vast
Made self by chance and time.
Come, look real close and see the past –
Behold God’s forged design!

So many stare and think they’re wise.
They search for life in stones.
But you must listen with your eyes –
Indeed, you’re not alone.

Come hear the song the vastness plays;
Of wisdom this tune sings.
Come bend your ears to stars arrayed.
They’re singing you a hymn.

This song sings of the Maker’s Heart –
Of God, Emmanuel –
Who had a plan right from the start,
That Light in you might dwell.

This Light is Jesus Christ, God’s Plan
Who died … your sins to take;
His love for you through vastness spans.
Seek Him, before daybreak.

The heavens declare the glory of God,
Β Β Β Β and the sky aboveΒ proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
Β Β Β Β and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
Β Β Β Β whose voice is not heard.
Psalm 19:1-3 (ESV)

    “Listen with our eyes.” Love that expression of intentionality! You often inspire me to listen with my eyes as you present truths with new insight and provide stunning photographs of God’s glorious creation. Always you are directing us to look to him. Thank you for returning to the blogosphere, Heidi!

      A friend recently referred to his blog-friends as family. I thought about that for a while, and agree with him. This is family… and you can only stay away from family for so long πŸ™‚
      Thanks for your mentoring and heart for God. I really appreciate your wisdom!!!

    Your words hit home especially well as my husband and I camp in northern Quebec. The clouds have nestled overhead so the stars are hidden, but our imaginations fly in knowing that they and the One who hung them so long ago are there none-the-less.
    (Just to let you know, I haven’t been able to “like” your posts recently–not sure why. Appreciate you Heidi!)
