Come walk with me into the night.
Come to the fields with me.
No man-made glitz, no city lights
Taint tired eyes to see.
Some say that all this grandeur vast
Made self by chance and time.
Come, look real close and see the past –
Behold Godβs forged design!
So many stare and think theyβre wise.
They search for life in stones.
But you must listen with your eyes –
Indeed, youβre not alone.
Come hear the song the vastness plays;
Of wisdom this tune sings.
Come bend your ears to stars arrayed.
Theyβre singing you a hymn.
This song sings of the Makerβs Heart –
Of God, Emmanuel –
Who had a plan right from the start,
That Light in you might dwell.
This Light is Jesus Christ, God’s Plan
Who died … your sins to take;
His love for you through vastness spans.
Seek Him, before daybreak.
The heavens declare the glory of God,
Β Β Β Β and the sky aboveΒ proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
Β Β Β Β and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
Β Β Β Β whose voice is not heard.
