I cheated. I admit. My smart-phone was a big help in luring them in. A quick internet search and after a few clicks, my phone was singing and calling the field sparrows I was hearing. After only a few minutes they were dancing on the path, wondering how this strange creature was speaking their language.
It reminded me of my God.
He, in His ultimate wisdom, knew how to call us toward Himself. He spoke the language of our hearts and satisfied our deepest longing for a relationship with Him. He made Himself like us, so we could understand His love for us.
“Thank You, Father,
for luring us with Your love and kindness!
You left Your place in Heaven and made a way for us to be with You,
forever. 
So the Word became human and made his home among us.
He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.
And we have seen his glory,
the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
