Notes of Grace

November 2014, fog, snow, ice, water, cold 026

Though all is cold, seek notes of grace
On frozen paths, forsaken ways.
Tune ear and soul to notes of grace,
For God conducts as grace notes chase
~
His song is tuned to notes of grace
Make ears attend, turn up your face,
Still frenzied noise in nature’s place,
Hear love displayed in notes of grace.

November 2014, fog, snow, ice, water, cold 025

The LORD your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.
Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)

November 2014, fog, snow, ice, water, cold 002Lord, teach me to tune my heart to Your love
No matter the circumstances.
Teach me to tune in to glimpses of Your grace,
Which you have displayed for me EVERYWHERE.
Open my ears to the song
You sing over me.
Thank You for Your most precious gift of grace,
JESUS CHRIST.

  3. Thank you for your poem Heidi. I love the part of that Bible verse that God sings loudly over us and then the comment after asking Him to open our ears to the sound of His singing. What an awesome thought! Jacquie Whyte

    1. I find comfort in that thought as well … He loves us so much, and in Christ made a way for us to come to Him. Amazing Grace 🙂

  6. Absolutely divine, Heidi. I’m thinking those icicles look like crystal chimes, on which angels could play God’s grace notes! Thank you for your spirit-expanding poetry and photos.

    1. It had been too cold for me to walk, so I drove to the lake and took a short walk along the water’s edge. Even here God blessed me, as I was seeking His face. He is so good to us, isn’t He! Sending you much love! (sorry, I said scroll … I meant stroll … sometimes it shows that English is not my mother tongue 🙂 )
