His Present Light
I am sitting in my office. Outside my window, the new day is peeking over the horizon through a small patch of trees. The sky has slowly started on fire. These moments draw my eyes upward. Marvelous red and orange colors melt together with purple and blue. The night is soaked up into the dawn. The sun is announcing this day with a silent fanfare. I love the morning and the beautiful silence with which it speaks. Here my heart marvels and deep within its crevasses, many questions surface.
A deep desire for God erupts from the canyon of my soul. His creation is causing me to crave glimpses of His goodness. I want to know Him. If glimpses of His handiwork move me like this, what does more of Him in my life look like? I want to be close to His heart. As I sense His vastness, I feel small and insignificant, in a way fearful. I listen and strain my heart to hear for the voice of God. Answers slowly come. They come like pictures and whisper across my searching heart. Scriptures find their way into my mind.
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. “
Father, thank You for Your constant presence in my life, and for giving me glimpses of Your heart! What marvels, what treasure. Thank You for Jesus. Because of HIM, I can come to You and find myself in Your constant presence.”
Thank you Cynthia, Yes, God makes all the difference in our lives. He is the author of all that is good … and the really neat thing is He wants us to know Him and live in that love He has for us… Happy Easter to you, Cynthia 🙂

Here is the cool part… I took the picture a few days ago (on my birthday) … It was so cold and windy. I felt silly for being out, but longed for some time with Jesus. When I told Him in my heart how I was longing for Him, I looked over and there was this break in the clouds. The picture doesn’t do the colors justice as they reflected off the frozen lake… It’s in our DNA to adore and marvel at Him … How we are blessed then to know that He sees us!!! He is amazing! Thanks, friend!

Just the right scripture that comes out of a thankful heart. Psalm 37:6 says “He will bring forth your righteousness(like the dawn?) as the light, and your justice as the noonday!” Praise the Lord
